Simple Solution to Forming The Next Irish Government

Simple Solution to Forming The Next Irish Government
2nd April 2016 Barry J. Murphy

If all newly elected TDs resigned from their political parties and became independents, any of them could put their name forward to be elected Taoiseach or for a cabinet post. The TDs would then vote by secret ballot in an elimination process, and whoever got the most votes would get each post.

We would then have a much better real democracy with each TD voting independently on every budget or legislative change put forward by cabinet, and they would not be voting just to follow a party line.

Much better decisions, and a government in place within a week!
